Clark County, Washington. Here's where we work and what the housing stock in each area tends to throw at a bathroom remodel.
Get My Free EstimateWe work across Clark County, Washington. We don't cross the river — Portland is a different state with different licensing, and we'd rather be genuinely local to one county than thinly spread across two.
The notes below aren't filler. Age of housing stock is the best predictor of what a bathroom demo turns up, and it's different in each of these places.
The widest mix in the county. Central and west Vancouver have a lot of mid-century housing where cast iron drain lines, galvanized supply and undersized exhaust fans are common — and where a shower pan that's been leaking quietly for years is the usual demo surprise. East Vancouver and the Cascade Park area skew newer, and those bathrooms are more often about layout and finish than about what's behind the wall.
Split between older homes near downtown and newer construction up the hill. The newer builds frequently have large primary bathrooms with a garden tub nobody has used since the day they moved in — the most common tub-to-shower conversion in the county comes from exactly that room.
Similar mix to Camas with more older stock. Smaller bathrooms are common, which makes layout the main constraint — often the best result comes from taking the tub out entirely rather than trying to fit everything into the original footprint.
Heavy on 1990s and 2000s construction plus rural properties. On acreage we check the water source and pressure before specifying fixtures — a rain head on a well with marginal pressure is a disappointment waiting to happen.
Among the fastest-growing areas in the county, so a lot of newer homes. Most work here is finish-level: tile, vanity, glass, lighting. Fewer structural surprises.
Dense older suburban stock, much of it 1960s–80s. Small hall bathrooms with a tub-shower combo are the norm, and they're excellent candidates for a shower replacement or conversion without touching the rest of the room.
More rural, larger lots, longer drives. We serve both — mention it on the call so we can schedule the visit sensibly rather than squeezing it between two Vancouver appointments.
Bathroom work that moves plumbing or adds electrical circuits requires a permit. Inside Vancouver city limits that goes through the city; outside, through Clark County. Either way we handle the application and schedule the inspection. See how it works for where that lands in the sequence.
Ask. If you're just outside the county we'll tell you straight whether we can get to you, rather than booking a visit and cancelling later.
We stay on the Washington side. Portland and the rest of Oregon is a different state with different licensing, and we would rather be properly local to one county.
No travel fee for the estimate visit. Mention the location when you call so we can schedule it sensibly rather than squeezing it between Vancouver appointments.
